Psychological services for health care professionals.
It’s not easy working in health care these days.
Many physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals were struggling with stress, burnout, and emotional distress even before the pandemic. And the pandemic has only seemed to exacerbate these challenges. Current rates of burnout, depression, and anxiety among clinicians are higher than ever.
A November 2021 survey conducted by the Canadian Medical Association revealed that 53% of physicians reported high levels of burnout and 46% were contemplating reducing their clinical workload in the following 24 months.
Change is required in health care systems to create psychologically healthier work environments. At the same time, it is necessary to support clinicians struggling with burnout, stress, and emotional distress. Many clinicians are now seeking improved balance between their work and home lives.
In a very respectful and empathic manner, Dr. Adrienne Kovacs offers support, information, and training in skills designed to help clinicians improve their psychosocial well-being and quality of life, both at work and at home. She has a limited number of reduced-fee slots for trainees.
